Colic Compress

A gentle blend of herbs nicely sealed into a tea bag to be made and applied to a child's stomach. Herbs will help relax spasming stomach muscles and will help expel gas.

Simply boil and prepare the herbal tea bag as you would for a cup of tea. Let the herbs steep and cool down to a comfortable temperature. Soak a wash cloth in the tea, wring out and apply to your child's stomach.

This is an old fashioned remedy to aid with colic pains and gas. Good for adult use too when the gas pains don't want to break up in the stomach.

In addition you may want to add a drop of Lavender or Chamomile essential oil to the tea water before applying to baby's skin.

Herbs are completely safe for children and will not harm the tender flesh. Herbs give a calming, soothing and peaceful aroma and will surround child with pleasant feelings. Herbs are also good for healing skin and will not dry it out.

In addition to this remedy, you want to try my "Colic Tea". This too is my Grandmother's special remedy that truly WORKS!!

Colic is not related to health conditions, such as digestion problems. Rarely, excessive crying in a baby first diagnosed with colic is later found to be related to cow's milk protein intolerance, fructose intolerance, transmission of medication by-products through breast milk, or other health problem. Also, temporary symptoms, such as abdominal gas, can make crying episodes worse. Smoking while pregnant may increase the likelihood that your baby will have colic.
