Black Cohosh Seed
Bushy herbaceous perennial with showy racemes of small white flowers held above the foliage. Medicinal: The roots (rhizomes) of mature plants are harvested and tinctured in October. Traditionally used as an emmenagogue (for menopausal and menstrual disorders). Its other actions as an anti-inflammatory, expectorant, and alterative are sometimes overlooked.
Black cohosh seeds need to be stratified for 6 to 8 weeks to overcome dormancy. Complete cultural information is included with shipment.
