Stowe Dairy Farms, LLC

Dedicated to preserving farm life and promoting farming as a viable, financially sustainable way of life, Stowe Dairy Farms is providing farm families with Black Angus beef, eggs, six varieties of Christmas trees, sorghum syrup, seasonal vegetables, farm tours, gardening and food/culinary workshops and summer camps for children. We, as the third generation, continue to provide our 100% grass fed, raised without added steroids, hormones or antibiotics, Black Angus beef to the public on the farm, at local farmers markets and communities in SC, NC and VA. Desiring to preserve the small family farm of the early 1900's and educate the public about this era of family farm life, Stowe Dairy Farms is offering workshops in Sustainable Living once again this year. A series of gardening classes are held January through March followed by workshops on Food Preservation in the early summer. In addition, farm events, commodities, and tours will also focus on sustainablity in 2014. This fall, we will harvest sorghum cane and make sorghum syrup using a Chattanooga 44 cane mill to squeeze out the juice and an evaporator pan/ outdoor furnace to cook down our syrup. Winter will feature our Christmas tree season, as we offer six varieties of Christmas trees. We will open for the seventh season the weekend before Thanksgiving 2014 our Choose and Cut fields of Red Cedar, Leyland Cypress, Carolina Sapphire, and White Pine trees. We will continue to offer freshly cut Fraser fir trees, wreaths, sprays, and mailbox toppers; give farm tours; and feature a Christmas shop filled with farm produced commodities, eggs and beef sausage being farm favorites to share.

Tours and special farm events will be promoted through this web site, as well as the ENCCTGA page, NC Agritourism Networking Association, our local Foothill Fresh page, the NCDA General Store web page, and our website and Facebook page.
