Strawberry (Fragaria vesca)

The medicinal value of strawberry leaf is similar to that of its cousin, the Red Raspberry. Strawberry leaves are rich in Tannins and have anti-diarrhoeal, diuretic and astringent properties.

This wonderful herb is high in Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) which is essential for healthy teeth, gums and bones. It makes a good gargle to treat mouth infections. Strawberry leaf has been known to help heal wounds, scar tissue, and fractures; plus build resistance to infection, aid in the prevention and treatment of the common cold and give strength to blood vessels.

Strawberry leaf is a great tea in the treatment of diarrhea and helps sooth the stomach.

Mainly the leaves and rhizomes (roots) are used for medicinal purposes. We collect the leaves after the flowering stage.

Strawberry leaf may cause allergic reactions in people hypersensitive to strawberries. Do not use if you have known allergy to this plant.
