Sunnybrook Farm was a dairy farm for most of the last hundred years. We are currently going back to a homestead mode of operation which includes converting to horse powered agriculture, raising our own beef and chickens. We have started selling a small quantity of eggs in spring of 2009 from chickens that go outside to forage for food. We have hens laying and hatching their own eggs so we expect the number of eggs for sale to increase over the next year. We don't use artificial light so our product will be a seasonal one with the chickens in control, they need to rest part of the year. Our produce for 2009 will be primarily be pole beans in early summer.
If you would like some eggs, call for availability, you can come by and pick out which ones you want.
