SunnysideLOCAL Produce, Nursery and Jams

Redlands, California
Family Farm

SunnysideLOCAL Produce and Nursery is a licensed nursery and certified farmers market grower located in Redlands, California. It is the work of two friends, Mindy Kuhn and Jane Crawford, who share a similar philosophy about food. As much as possible eat sustainably grown food that is raised locally and tastes great. All of our edible plants are grown from organic seeds sown in excellent organic potting mix. Our growing fruit includes a variety of citrus trees, peaches (white and yellow), Nectarines (white and yellow), Black Mission figs, Wonderful pomegranates, strawberries (grown for jam stock), blueberries and blackberries. In addition we grow several varieties of heirloom tomatoes and sweet bell peppers.

We craft seasonal jams, jellies and marmalades from our growing .fruit stock. SunnysideLOCAL jams are made in a local restaurant kitchen licensed and permitted by the state of California. In keeping with the requirements of Local Harvest, the major ingredients of all our preserves are grown by us.

In managing our farm, pesticides are never used and weed killing is done with an OMRI approved orange oil based herbicide. The farm is not certified organic but our growing practices are and we have devoted a page on our website to that explanation. Our citrus grove is irrigated by a one hundred year old water delivery system of concrete pipes and trenches. The water we use is mountain water delivered twice monthly through a system of cisterns and pipes. Our water contains no manmade chemicals of any kind. We often give short tours through our grove to showcase some of our growing practices.

With our long days of California sun, healthy, fresh food is never far away.
