75 days. Open polinated. Pimiento peppers are terrific for eating fresh. The flesh is very thick, juicy, sweet, and crunchy. Also known for canning, but ours never make it that far. My kids just gobble them up fresh! Sweet pimiento is relatively early and productive, on a compact plant. The fruits are 2" x 4", round and squat. Try them stuffed with seasoned cream cheese, cut in quarters, and served on a veggie platter. Also excellent in stir fries, they get even sweeter with cooking. Germinated at 84%.
|Lifecycle:||1 (0: N/A, 1: annual, 2: perennial, 3: biennial)|
|Soil:||Adaptable. Peppers need a good nitrogen source like alfalfa meal or composted chicken manure to produce well.|
|Propagation / Germination:||Start seeds indoors 7 to 8 weeks before last frost. Keep soil very lightly moist - never wet! 80 degrees is optimum, but anywhere from 70 to 95 degrees will work okay.|
|Water:||Water weekly if necessary.|
