Tangleweed Farm offers a variety of seasonal, organically grown produce, berries, and cut flowers in the Old Town area of Tehachapi. The farm originated as a home-school garden project for the children of the owners, Laurie and John Thorpe, and it has evolved into a local source of fresh produce for the community. The farm is also the site of diverse gardens, fruit trees, roses, and other plants that favor the local environment.
Cut flower arrangements may be found throughout the season offering the freshest stems around.
Olallieberries are available in early summer followed by raspberries later in the harvest season.
Cut and washed baby lettuces are a favorite farm staple product and are produced throughout the growing season.
The farm stand carries pastured beef and locally crafted goat's cheese in addition to produce grown on site.

I've been shopping at Tangleweed Farm for a couple of years now. Laurie sells in-season organic vegetables as well as berries grown right on her farm, goat cheese from Soledad Farms, J & J Grass fed beef, her own eggs, and a small selection of goodies such as gourmet chocolate, organic fair-trade coffees, fabulous olive oils and vinegars, gardening and cookbooks....
