Taylor Farm is a 180 year old farm in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Our family has operated the farm for 15 years. Our herd consists of 40 Holstein and Jersey cows, each individually named and cared for in a traditional tie-stall barn. For the past 5 years we have handmade award-winning European style raw milk Gouda from our own fresh sweet milk. We are committed to producing cheese from milk that has no growth hormones added, from cows who graze on 180 year old pastures free from pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers. Their hay is from our own fields and their grain is custom blended.
Sleigh rides are now running! Come visit with us during the crisp days and cold night of our Vermont winter!
We participate in a number of Farmers' Markets in Southern Vermont. The West River Farmers' Market in both Londonderry and Manchester as well as the Rutland Farmers' Market in Rutland. The Londonderry and Rutland Markets are on Saturdays in season and the Manchester Market is on Thursdays during the season.
The Farmstand is open Saturdays or by chance during the summer but the Cheese Room is always open - as with a lot of farms we're never really closed...
