Lonesome Star Farm believes that cultivating and promoting heritage breeds of livestock is the stuff that makes life worth living.

By breeding/enjoying heritage and rare livestock we are choosing a slower, more deliberate way of life. These older breeds have "old DNA" which generally makes them heartier, more apt to forage for food, disease resistant, and increases the biodiversity in their diet. Turkeys are processed at a USDA approved processor only a few miles from the farm so there is little transport stress which can make the meat tough.

Also Will Sell Livestock Pets: *** Rare Kunekune pigs to be sold this Winter, 2012. *** Miniature Jersey milking cattle, a heritage breed, will be sold in 2013!!!

Our livestock are pastured on acres of native grasses to browse from. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
