The Adela Rose Farm is located in Caledonia, Michigan. We raise free range broiler chickens, pasture raised pigs, and grass fed Belted Galloway beef cattle. Contact us to reserve your meat - raised without growth hormones or preventative antibiotics.
Our broiler chickens are Freedom Rangers, hatched in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. The breeding stock is imported from the regions of Burgundy and Brittany (France). The genetic stock is derived from the American and European old heritage breed of chicken and was developed in the early 1960s to meet the highest standards of the French Label Rouge Free Range program. Currently, the Freedom Ranger genetic stock is used by most non-factory farm production models (alternative) all across Europe and also by small pastured poultry producers in search of a traditionally raised farm chicken - just like the "oldies", healthy and with a succulent flavor and texture.
Our farm raises a few pigs at a time. They are pasture raised with a lot of love - our daughter loves her pigs the most. They have a good life and that results in excellent tasting pork. Sausage, bacon, and other smoked meat is available without preservatives.
Our Registered Belted Galloway beef cattle are raised naturally on pasture grass and hay (not corn fed). Growth hormones, antibiotics, and other unnatural practices common with commercial beef are not utilized at our farm. Unlike commercial beef feedlots where the animals are kept in small pens inside, our animals are pasture raised. Choose the healthier beef option raised naturally and humanely. Because of a double hair coat, Belted Galloway do not have the extra layer of back fat common to most other breeds. This feature makes the beef leaner and healthier than other beef.

We are accepting orders for beef, pork, and chicken on a first come, first served basis. Demand exceeds supply so there is usually a waiting list. A beef quarter typically weighs between 100 and 150 pounds hanging weight and will last a family of four for 9 months to a year. A half of a pig usually weighs around 100 pounds hanging weight. You will be able to customize your cuts including thickness of steaks, number of steaks per package, size of roasts, package size of ground beef, type of sausages, and much more. You will also have the opportunity to choose how your meat is cut (example: soup bones versus more ground beef or roasts versus sizzler steaks).
