The Alpaca Legacy is a woman owned and operated company that is producing high quality yarn and roving using the exquisite qualities of natural fibers. We are committed to quality and are constantly updating and adding to our selection of yarns and blends to satisfy our clients needs.

All of our yarns are American made. Along with our own alpaca fleeces, we pride ourselves on purchasing any needed fleeces from small local farmers whenever possible. We use the Mini Mills found here in the United States to process our fibers into yarn, roving and felt.

We carry a wide assortment of yarn weights. From fine lace and fingering to sport weight, DK and chunky. Yarns typically range from two to four ply. Recently we have begun to carry a small line of hand spun yarns that we plan to expand in the near future. Our goal is to provide you with as many choices for your inventories and one of a kind projects as possible.

The Alpaca Legacy yarn and roving consist of wool, silk, alpaca, bamboo, cashmere, Yak, tencel and various blends. They also come in a multitude of natural shades as well as many hand dyed and spectacular hand painted colorways.

Roving comes in 100% silk, bamboo, alpaca and merino. We also have blends of merino/silk, merino/bamboo, alpaca/silk, alpaca/blue faced leister and alpaca/tencel. If you have a particular roving blend you'd like to see, let us know. We are always updating and adding new products to our inventory.

For the discerning hand spinner and fiber artist we offer raw fleece in many natural alpaca colors, as well as colorful dyed fleeces. Depending on the time of year not all types of fleece will be available, please contact us for an updated raw fleece list.
