The Black Sheep Cottage

The Black Sheep Cottage is a small urban homestead. My focus is on growing fresh produce, raising healthy, well cared for animals and providing quality finished goods.

Heirloom vegetables are grown using organic methods. While not certified organic the homestead has been chemical free for most of its existence.

We now have one English Angora doe, Sunny and one French Angora buck, Sebastian living on the farm. Angora rabbits offer sweet personalities and lovely, soft wool that is wonderful for spinning.

Hand-dyed wool yarns are also offered at the homestead. These are mostly mill spun yarns that I dye using both acid and natural dyes. Items made from my yarn will be considered a one of a kind product. (more...)
