In operation since 1857, the City Market is the largest farmers' market in the region featuring over 140 farmer stalls and bursting with an annual attendance of over 500,000 per year. In addition, 25+ Market Merchants offer a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, seafood, flowers, specialty foods and gift items from America, Africa, Europe, the Middle and far East. The City Market is home to a unique collection of gift shops, authentic restaurants and the Arabia Steamboat Museum, which hosts the largest collection of pre-Civil War artifacts in the world. The City Market has an extensive event calendar from April through October including concerts, food festivals and kids activities. Located at 20 E. 5th Street in the heart of the historic River Market Neighborhood, the City Market is open seven days per week, year round.

DIRECTIONS:
From the North:
From I-29 and I-35, follow the signs for I-35 South. Take the Exit 2F-Oak/Grand/Walnut on the right side. Continue on Exit to Walnut Street, turn right (north). Continue driving north on Walnut Street, and you will drive right into the City Market.
From the East:
I-70 West toward Kansas City. Just before entering downtown, follow US highway 24 West about a mile to take Exit 2F-Oak/Grand/Walnut on the right. Exit to Walnut Street, turn right (north) on Walnut Street, and you will drive right into the City Market.
From the South:
North on I-35, north toward Des Moines. Exit on Main Street Exit, 2D onto 6th Street to Walnut Street. Turn left (north) on Walnut Street, go over the bridge and you will drive right into the City Market.
From the West:
I-70 East into Kansas City to Main Street, Exit 2D. Continue east on 6th Street to Walnut Street, turn left (north) on Walnut Street and you will drive right into the City Market.
