The 24" balsam Christmas wreaths we make at Seasons Eatings Farm are made from balsam tips grown on our farm. Our trees are managed for wreath tips rather than Christmas trees. They are florist faced wreaths so you'll never see the back of a tip showing through to the front. We add pine tips for additional natural beauty.
Bow may vary.
We don't start tipping until after we've had three consecutive nights of below freezing temps. This still gives us plenty of time to make all of our wreaths with balsam that will look fresh on December 26. We've had our three consecutive nights already this fall. Tipping starts November 1, 2011.
Robin manages the trees for wreath tips rather than Christmas trees for both sustainability and practicality. A Christmas tree is grown, cut and used once. Sustainably harvested balsam trees produce quality tips for at least 20 years.
There are few things in life we have to do. Eating is one of them. Food can't be only about filling our stomachs and tasting good. Food has to provide natural nutrition. That starts with good soil. We grow food the way it used to be grown.
Being a fussy eater is easy when you start with basic, raw ingredients. Good food doesn't have to be complicated. It should be fresh, local an seasonal and that's what we offer our customers.
