The story of The Farm started with my maternal grandfather, who began farming this land outside of Hutchinson, Minnesota in 1945, and spent the next 40 years of his life raising livestock and crops here. In the late 1960's, I was blessed to spend a summer here with my grandfather, working this soil. It is here that I fell in love with farming, and in 2000, I was again called home to The Farm. We spent the next few years in small-scale trails and tests. In 2009, we ramped into the market with the introduction of a new Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, and began the process of organic certification. We take a lot of pride in the fruits and vegetables we grow. Organic certification is a 3+ year process, so we are in a stage known as "transitional". (more...)

The Farm provides in-season fresh fruits and vegetables. We make our produce available through CSA shares, our road side stand, and to the local markets. The Farm is in the "transitional" period being certified organic, and we're using today's knowledge with yesterday's passion to grow nutritious food for the community. We take great pride in the fruits and vegetables we grow. Since we put this food on our table... "if it's not good enough for us to eat, we won't make it available for you!"
