The Neighborhood Farm is a collection of market gardens in private yards in and around Needham, MA. Homeowners lend us a portion of their yard and we grow vegetables, herbs and flowers. In exchange, the owners receive produce from the gardens. 2012 will be our fifth growing season. We are currently growing at 11 locations in the Needham area. Our gardens range in size from 400 square feet to more than an acre. We grow all our crops without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers although we are not certified organic. Organic certification is a multi-year process, and is something we may pursue over the next several years. We specialize in heirloom varieties of tomatoes and garlic.
