The North Outback

The North Outback is a third generation family farm in northeastern North Dakota approximately 120 miles northwest of Grand Forks and 15 miles from the Canadian border. The North Outback is described by the school children who visit as an "Old McDonald" kind of farm. Our farm is one of the few area farms to still have cows, sheep, horses, goats, pigs and a llama as well as dogs and cats. The crops of small grains and oil seeds have been certified organic by Farm Verified Organic since the early 1980's. In addition to bulk grains and oil seeds, the North Outback raises beef cattle and sheep. The cattle and sheep are raised according to organic principles but are not currently certified. We sell beef and lamb directly to consumers. The meat is processed by a local, USDA inspected processor and sold by the pound in various sized packages. Please call or email for a current price list and product availability.
