The Red Windmill is a small specialty farm established in 2005 for the purpose of growing a wide variety of unusual, gourmet, heirloom and endangered food that is otherwise unavailable to the general public. We plan to use the principles of sustainable agriculture or permaculture to grow fresh fruits and vegetables to be sold to local consumers. Long-term goals include harvesting seeds to sell online, making fruit preserves employing Old World equipment and techniques, and creating a garden that will become a tourist destination.
