The Shady Grove Farm has been in my family since 1779. I am honored to be the 7th generation to own and operate this farm in the Bushy Fork community of Hurdle Mills, NC.

We uses traditional organic methods, biodynamic preps, permaculture techniques, and other sustainable farming practices to care for our soil and our ecosystem. We live sustainable agriculture!

We grow over a 250 different vegetables varieties, scores of fruit varieties, and culinary/medicinal herbs. In addition to produce, we have pasture raised/grass fed poultry (chicken, duck and turkey), eggs, beef, goat, lamb, and pork.

All our livestock are heritage breeds. The use of heritage breeds of livestock is an intergral part of our operation. (more...)
