The word Enoteca means a place to drink wine, often with small snacks, and at The Turtle that's exactly what's in store for you! We are a wine-focused restaurant with a great wine system, dispensing twenty wines by the glass in several different pour sizes. Guests can partake of the wine bar atmosphere and our small plates, Veldhuizen cheese plates, and hearth baked thin crust pizzas. We use fresh mozzarella, goat cheese, locally grown herbs and vegetables and handmade dry cured organic salume piccante. Casual but refined , many people visit The Turtle Enoteca on special occasions, but just as many drop in to snack or try a flight of wines, micro brew, classic cocktail, or coffee and dessert.

  • Fifty percent of The Turtle Enoteca's holdings are Texas wines, especially from the Way Out wineries in central Texas. The balance are mainly from Italy. We invite our patrons to contrast and compare wines from the two "countries" as the climate, soil and grapes are similar. During tastings we talk about the growing locovore and Slow Foods movements and introduce folks to our regions suppliers such as Windy Hill Organic's CSA in Comanche, Texas and Veldhuizen Cheese over in Dublin, Texas.
