The Gelateria makes their gelatos and sorbettos from fresh ingredients on site. During melon season you will find sorbettos made from all kinds of melons grown in Texas from pink and yellow watermelons to orange cantaloupes to pale green honeydew. You might also find floral flavors such as lavender honey or rose petal and nut flavors like butter pecan or "turtle" made with pecans grown around Brownwood and house made caramel. We support the Brownwood Farmer's Market, Windy Hill Organics, Newman's Farm, Brennan's Winery, Bluff Dale Winery, Barking Rocks Winery.

The Turtle Gelateria serves 16 flavors of Italian ice cream and sorbetto made fresh each week by our gelato artisan. You will be surprised and delighted by regional flavors such as Jalapeno Peanut Brittle, Denman Peach or Dulce de Leche in addition to traditional Italian flavors such as Hazelnut and Lemon. Gelato is lower in butterfat, has less air and much more flavor than American style ice cream. We use the freshest ingredients and have the friendliest servers.
