Thomasson Nursery

About Us

For the last 25 years we have operated a wholesale Rhododendron Nursery. We have always grown a large garden and have been growing mostly organic vegetables for years. Our niece, Judy Lessler, the owner of Harland Creek Farm in Chatham County, got us started growing vegetables for the public. We formed a CSA in 2008. In 2009 we continued with a small CSA and grew additional vegetables organically. This year we received our organic certification and developed a closer collaboration with our niece (Judith Thomasson Lessler) and Harland's Creek Farm. Also, our grandson Johnny Stinson has joined us on the farm for the 2010 season. Thus, we have 3 generations of Thomassons working together to offer you organically grown vegetables and herbs. LQ Thomasson has farmed for 75 years, has a masters degree in horticulture, and taught horticulture for 25 years. We have all learned a great deal recently about organic methods and are building on LQ's background to begin experimenting with different growing methods. Our goal is to furnish you with fresh vegetables over as long of period as we can, using greenhouses as well as growing in the ground.
