We grow organically and responsibly. Our tubers are sold on a first come, first served basis and spring shipping begins after danger of frost. Plant heights do vary by variety and staking or caging is generally recommended. Most varieties begin to bloom after about 90 days and will bloom continuously until a killing frost, when they should be dug, divided and stored for the winter, in a cool and humid location. It can take a tuber up to 3 weeks before you see signs of 'green growth' and these first shoots are susceptible to slug and snail damage, so don't mulch until plants are at least 10 inches tall. At this time you should also top or pinch the plant to encourage laterals and branching for more blooms on each plant. Cut flowers are only available locally. Most varieties have a 'vase life' of 5-7 days.
