Toddy Pond Farm

Toddy Pond farm is diversified family farm in Monroe, ME on 500 acres of pasture and forest operated by Heide and Greg Purinton-Brown and their two sons Guthrie and Oliver.

We raise East Friesian milking sheep, Nubian goats, Jersey & Guernsey cows, heritage breed American Guinea Hogs, layer hens and Freedom Ranger broilers. The farm produces a variety of products including; sheep milk gelato, raw cow's milk, cow's milk ice cream, cheeses, yogurts, kefir and butter. Additionally we sell our pasture raised and organic chicken, pork and lamb and when available honey from our farm beehives.

We make most of our hay and have recently added an organic fodder system to the farm to provide high protein nutrition to all of our animals year round.

For those looking to fully immerse themselves in the farming environment we also manage a rental property on the farm available for family farm stay vacations - http://www.vrbo.com/501317

Our farm store carries all of our farm made products: raw milk, yogurt, cheese, lamb, pork and chickens. All our animals are pasture raised and cared for in the most humane way possible. We don't completely separate our young lambs from their mother's at birth. Instead we choose to milk once per day and leave the lambs with the mother's during the day. We get less milk this way, but we believe the bond between mother and offspring is too important to ignore and the only truly humane way
