70 days. OP. Plants get to 4' high and wide, and get loaded with round, green fruits in a tan, papery husk. Earlier than Cisineros, and smaller fruited. Harvest when fruits are still green and not quite filling the husk for the tart flavor that Salsa Verde is known for. If allowed to turn yellowish and split the husk, they will have a sweeter flavor, which is nice in fruit salsas.
Our plants are sustainably raised in our own potting mix. We use only organic fertilizers and sprays if needed. We have been growing and selling plants since 1997.
Our tomatillo plants are shipped in individual 3" deep pots. They are 6 to 10 inches tall and are ready to be planted out in your garden.
We package our plants with extreme care so they arrive undamaged at your doorstep. Each plant is tucked into its own padded sleeve. The soil in each pot is covered so it will not spill out. A plant tag identifying the variety is included with each plant.
We ship every Monday and Tuesday, from late March to late May, according to your location or your request.
We are now closed for the 2014 season. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers! We will be back in January, 2015.
We produce all of our own seed, unlike most seed sellers. We never purchase bulk seeds and repackage them. You can be sure that you are getting top quality, healthy, and vigorous seeds from us, and that they were produced by us on our small farm in healthy soil.
We are licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture to sell plants (license #1931) and seed (license #149045) produced by us. We exceed the Federal minimum germination standards and post our germination test results with each variety
