Mary*Laine Highlanders Grass Fed Beef was established in 2003 by the Fisette and Giunta families. Our Highlanders are raised on Tower Hill Farm in Sanbornton, NH. Originally established as an operating dairy farm in 1890, Tower Hill Farm is a beautiful and comforting place that overlooks the Kearsarge mountain range to the west, the Winnipesaukee River Basin to the east, and the Belknap mountains to the south.

With a vision to breed the finest quality grass fed, low cholesterol, low fat, Scottish Highlander Cattle, the initial breeding stock was purchased from a diversified genetic pool to insure a consistent heritage of the best quality Scottish Highlander cattle within the region.

Our Highlanders are handled in a stress-free environment with individual care and kindness to conform to the philosophy of the owners. We promote environmentally sound land conservation and farm stewardship for the benefit of those clients who demand the finest quality beef available.

For your health and nutrition, all animals are raised exclusively on native grass, browse and hay and are treated in a humane and gentle manner from birth to finished product. It is also important to note, we have affiliated ourselves with a local USDA slaughter facility to insure that our final product is certified to be the best quality product available.

For hundreds of years, Scottish Highlander cattle have been known to be of superior quality. Even the British Royal family maintains a herd for their personal use and enjoyment. The meat of these animals is known for its superior taste, high protein, low fat and low cholesterol qualities. You'll note from the nutritional data below, Highlander meat has less fat, calories and cholesterol than buffalo, Angus, skinless chicken, and pork.

To compare for yourself, we present the following fat, calorie, and cholesterol data:
