Trusted Roots Farm

Our mission is to farm as stewards of the land, working with natural cycles to create a symphony of healthy soil, animals, community, and great food.

At Trusted Roots Farm, members pick up their produce at the farm. A portion of the share is U-pick, meaning members will harvest these crops for themselves directly from the field. We offer several share options for both vegetables and eggs.

Farming Practices We strive to manage the farm with a holistic perspective. We consider the land we are actively using in our management decisions, as well as the surrounding land, that is home to many species of wildlife.

We do not spray any herbicides or pesticides in order to protect the health of our members, farmers, neighbors, waterways and wildlife. We occasionally spread lime on the field to maintain a vegetable friendly pH in our soils, and rely on compost, happily grazing animals and cover crops for fertility.

Animals We have great respect for all that our animals provide for us and in return provide them with the most natural, healthy life possible where they are free to express their natural behaviors. We currently have a small herd of Nubian Goats and a flock of Goldstar and Americana laying hens.
