Our Midtown Manhattan CSA offers a vegetable share that consists of a wide variety of high-quality, certified organic produce from Free Bird Farm. We also offer shares for pasture-raised eggs and pasture-raised chickens from Free Bird. Our fruit share is primarily non-organic, but from low-spray local farms, and is grown by a number of different New York-based farms. Distribution takes place on Tuesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Vanderbilt YMCA, within walking distance of Grand Central Station. Our distribution season is 22 weeks, from approximately the beginning of June through end of October. We do not offer a winter share. Members work one 2-hour shift at the distribution over the course of the season. Please visit our website, www.turtlebaycsa.com, for more information on share size, variety, cost, and registration information.
