Locally Grown is an initiative of University of Illinois Extension and local partners in western Illinois to promote and celebrate local foods. The effort includes: Educational programs for consumers, youth and farmers; Annual Locally Grown FoodFest held the first Saturday in August; Locally Grown Kids - a curriculum designed to help inform youth on where their food comes from and how it is grown; Locally Grown Dinners; Community Gardening; Farmers Market activities and more!
Locally Grown is a joint effort of U of I Extension, Western IL Sustainable Ag Society, local producers and other partners to promote amd support a sustainable local food system.
