The University of California Small Farm Program is a statewide program that focuses on the challenges and opportunities of California's small-scale farm operators.
Since 1979, we have helped California's small-scale farming communities lead the way--in innovative production techniques, new niche crops and profitable marketing skills.
We work with a diverse clientele, who are often not reached by traditional extension programs. California's small-scale farmers include men and women with a wide array of educational experience, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds. Many of our clients also operate with limited resources.
We work every day to sustain the vitality of small-scale farms.
