Up On The Hill Farm in Falling Spring (Hot Springs), Virginia is the legacy of generations of the family's farmers in the Natural Well area of Alleghany County. Nestled on the top of a ridge, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, the farm is a prime example of minimal impact farming of produce for locals to enjoy year-round. The owners, both certified active members of the Master Gardeners of the Alleghany Highlands, have successfully combined their years of experience to produce vegetables that exemplify what naturally-grown really means. Local consumers and restaurants enjoy the finest of all kinds of produce and herbs grown on our farm, from asparagus to zucchini and everything in between - all fresh, pesticide- and chemical-free, and all from heirloom seeds. As a matter of interest, the current family homestead, built over a five-year period between 1795 and 1800 (and still occupied by family members), is the oldest brick structure still standing in Alleghany County. Visitors are always welcome to come to Up-On-The-Hill Farm to experience naturally grown farming at its best.
