The Urbanic Farms Initiative was created to teach our children about healthy eating and sustainable living. We do this by helping schools create gardens on their property where children can learn to plant their own fruit and vegetable gardens.
Students will maintain their garden throughout the growing season and will harvest their crops as yielded. They can then use these yields to raise money for various after school programs and sports equipment. They can also elect to donate their yield to local food banks and shelters.
Urbanic Farms focuses on inner schools in urban markets anywhere in the country. We are a registered 501(C)3 Nonprofit organization.
The Urbanic Farms Initiative provides educational programs that teach inner city youth and residents about organic gardening, sustainable living and healthy food choices.
Every garden is maintained by students, teachers and parents. Garden yields can be used as fundraisers to help schools fund other positive initiatives such as music and sports programs.
