Farmstead Goat Cheese. A small herd of pure-bred Nubian produce 4,000 pounds of goat cheese per year. Varieties include fresh chevre, feta and soft-ripened, bloomy rind. Jersey cow's milk is purchased from nearby Appleton Farms and a soft-ripened Essex is produced along with a mixed milk - Harmony. The cheese can be found at north shore farms stands, restaurants and small, specialty grocery and wine & cheese shops.
