It is important to us to increase access to clean fresh local food. We do this by incorporating efficiency every where we can. This allows us to make good food affordable.
Last year a share worked out to be $12/wk for 20 weeks, which equaled $240. This year it is $15/wk. for 20 weeks
for a total of $300. $15/ wk. purchases an average of 10 -14 lbs. of produce a week over the course of the season. Like last June, this will begin with about 3-5 lbs. the first few weeks, increasing until about 20 - 24 lbs. by September and into October. This easily feeds a family of 4.

We stock our store with an assortment of fruits and vegetables, most grown on our farm and in our greenhouse; some from local area farmers. We price our fruits and veggies by calling and shopping around area grocery stores. Our aim is to make available clean, fresh fish and produce at affordable and competitive prices. Access to clean food has always been a value and motivator at Home Grown. As the economy continues to be more and more challenging, the importance of food security and access grows. We are committed to keeping our methods sustainable and our prices affordable. Some say that this may cheapen the 'idea' of value. We say,"People know what value is." We say ,"Clean food must be accessible to all." Now, THAT'S valuable.
