Waxwing Farm is a small, sustainably powered, organic vegetable farm in the Annapolis Valley. We bought our farmland, which was an abandoned apple orchard, in 2008. Since then we have been growing our farming operation while building our small, off-grid, strawbale home. In 2012, we will offer a winter csa share of hardy, sustaining winter vegetables. The share will run from mid October, 2012 til the end of February, 2013. Shares can be picked up at the farm or at the Lunenburg Farmer's Market. And, if there is enough interest, we may deliver shares to the Wolfville area. You can check out our website later this winter for additional information. We also wholesale salad mix, cherry tomatoes, new potatoes, eggplant and herbs to restaurants and grocers in Berwick, Wolfville and Halifax. If you are interested in being a wholesale customer, please get in touch. We have practiced organic farming principles since the beginning and will be certified organic in June of 2012.
