Our farm is located on the Mexico/Texas border, right on the Rio Grande River. My great-grandfather, Felix O. Weyrich planted the first pecan trees in this county in 1910. There are now several well established pecan orchard in Maverick County. Felix began with a truck farm and small orchard, my grandfather Fred F. Weyrich then added egg production and a dairy, he also planted more of the acreage in pecans and moved away from the truck farming. We no longer have the dairy, we have 100 acres in pecans and have planted our first crop of spinach. We hope to incorporate more vegetables and bring back the egg/chick operation. We have a guest/B&B House and a beautiful picnic/b-que area on the banks of the Rio Grande. On our web-site you can order pecans shipped to you. We would love for you to come visit
