We offer 2 sizes of plants. One is 3 plants. The other is 15 plants. The plants are grown from our seed. It takes 3 to 4 months to grow these from seed as they grow slowly. They are ready to be planted into a planter or bed and will produce soon.
Alpines like cool conditions and a slightly acidic soil with plenty of good compost. They do not like to dry out so keep them moist and they will reward you with delightfully fragrant, sweet berries. They can be divided once a year and you can also gather the seeds to propagate more. To do that ,simply do not pick the berries. After the fruit ripens, it will shrivel leaving only the seed on the stem. Gather these for planting.
All of our seed offerings were grown here. We have been seed savers for 20 years. Our seeds are packaged in original art packets, hand folded with 100% recycled paper. Instructions for growing are not on the packs but are on the listing under seed template. Books on gardening as well as many catalogs carry general information on growing seeds. I am available by e-mail or phone to answer any growing questions as well. You won't find that service from many sources of seeds . The shipping on our orders also includes the processing and handling charges which is also less or equal to most seed companies. Remember we hand pack each order and drive from the farm to the post office to ship your order. I go every other day so I also have time to garden.
