With our eclectic American cuisine that focuses on local, sustainable and humanely raised ingredients, the White Dog Cafe is known for serving up food, fun and social activism. In addition to serving daily, the White Dog also offers events through out the year including community and farm tours, dinner discussions with local activists and nationally known authors (past speakers include Eric Schlosser - "Fast Food Nation" and Frances Moore Lappe - "Diet for a Small Planet"), block parties (including our harvest celebration, the Dance of the Ripe Tomatoes), film nights, and more. Through our nonprofit arm, the White Dog Cafe Foundation, we founded the Philadelphia Fair Food Project. PFFP is working to link sustainable local farmers with area food purchasers and to stop factory farming. Call or email for a newsletter or visit us online at http://www.whitedog.com
