Introduction to Hard Cheese Making
Spend a day exploring the ancient magic of turning fresh milk into cheese in a relaxed "you can do this at home" setting. Hands on participation with explanations of the procedures and how they can be varied to create differing end results. Enjoy a healthy, delicious "from the farm" lunch with samples of cheeses already aged. This is a lengthy process with varying gaps of time between steps which will be used to tour the farm, discuss home dairy management, discuss other home dairy products, and swap stories in the age-old tradition of gathering in Mom's kitchen.
