Wild Hive Farm micromill is located one mile east of our Cafe/Bakery in the Village of Clinton Corners on the Salt Point Turnpike, and houses our grain mills, chickens, goats, test plots for seeds, and our emerging education center. Currently it is not open to the public except for special events, but with the help and enthusiasm of our community, that could change!
GOAL: a test kitchen, and weekend milling demonstrations at this site, and to turn the mill into an interactive learning center. Keep your eyes peeled while we update the timeline, photos, video, and info on how you can get involved!
At the Wild Hive Mill, just to be clear, while we do not have an organic certification of our own, we ONLY use certified organic, local grains in our mill. There are NEVER any herbicides, pesticides, or GMO grains or corn running through our veins (or mill, for that matter) and while there is no plan to be certified ourselves, we only use these same grains in all of our production at the cafe and bakery. All of our test plots are also grown at or above organic requirements for certification for future seed, also. We are absolutely opposed at all times to the use of genetically modified seeds and we welcome ways that you could help us make that stand. At this time, we are researching some links to add here for your education ease - check back!!!
Wild Hive Farm also features a cafe/bakery/store. We serve local, organic, and naturally raised foods from small farms in or close to the Hudson Valley. Our menu changes every month but you can count on the fact that we serve wholesome and delicious breakfast and lunch all day long including eggs from our own chickens, grains (wheat, rye, corn, spelt, and more) from our mill, satisfying whole grain pastas, sandwiches, burgers, meats and vegetables from local family farms.
