These earrings are handmade from terra cotta clay dug from a natural deposit near our potato patch. Our area used to be known for its brick factories & because of the natural red clay deposits, many of the small towns around here are home to buildings of red brick made from locally mined clay. Wildgirl® Jewelry is hand-formed, underglazed and glazed - a total of three firings per piece - in the small ceramics studio next to our house.
