Windy Meadows

Windy Meadows is located midway between the Triangle and the Triad in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. Our goal is to develop a diversified and sustainable farm.

In our second year of operation, we are producing pastured beef raised with no antibiotics or added hormones. Besides the well-established grass and clover pastures, our crossbred Angus-Simmental cattle are finished with a modest supplement of locally-raised, certified organic small grains. In addition, certified organic kelp meal, along with a high-magnesium salt supplement, are available to the herd on a free-choice basis. Most of our customers tell us that our well-marbled, tender beef may be the best they have ever eaten.

We have a small CSA which features a wide variety of in-season vegetables.Members pick up their weekly basket at 3 Cups in Chapel Hill.
