The Winn Farmers' Market is open from the beginning of May to the end of August, every Tuesday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We are located at the corners of Main and St. John Streets in Winnfield. We are a non profit organization designed to provide area producers with an outlet to sell fresh garden and orchard products directly to the consumer. Our mission is to improve the quality of life in our community by stimulating the agriculture industry and providing consumers locally grown, high quality farm fresh produce. We strive to educate the community about the importance of eating fresh, healthy food, the benefits of purchasing locally grown produce, supporting agriculture and the conservation of our natural resources.< (more...)

Purchasing locally grown produce stimulates the local economy. If you come to the Winn Farmers Market and pay one of our local farmers $1.00 for tomatoes, 95% of that dollar stays in our community. On the other hand when you purchase something that was not grown locally only 10 cents stays in our community. You also save energy and help the ennvironment. It just tastes better and is better for our community.
