Build your own share from a variety of storable fall and winter vegetables. All vegetables are locally grown by Jim and Diane Hunter at our farm. We farm sustainably using no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. You come to the farm to choose your vegetables. We will call you to make an appointment. Appointments are available between noon and 3:30 p.m. on the second and third week-ends in November.
Our pumpkin and squash varieties include Rouge Vif D'Tempes, New England Pie and Little Cutie Pumpkins; Blue Hubbard, Red Kuri, bush delicata and Table Queen Acorn squashes. Our potato crop includes Yellow Finn, Satina, Carmine, and Kennebec potatoes. We grow Ailsa Craig and Cipolini onions; Giant Musselburg leeks; White Russian kale; Champion collard; red swiss chard; and Chantenay carrots.
We may have brussels sprouts, parsnips and rutabagas.
Each subscriber will have the subscription price in value to spend on their choice of vegetables divided so that everyone has a chance to receive a full variety.
We grow all our vegetables ourselves without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. We grow varieties bred for excellent flavor.
