Witch hazel has a folkloric history of use for healing bruises, swellings, and strains and is useful as an addition to a salve for hemorrhoids. It may also used in Herbal Insect Repellent blends with other herbal oils and essential oils.
A healing salve can be made by heating 1 part beeswax to 3 parts witch hazel oil. A hemorrhoid salve can be created by blending witch hazel oil with other oils such as plantain and yarrow.
Please store your oils in a cool dry place or in the refrigerator and use within one year. If stored in the fridge, the oil will solidify. Bring to room temperature before using.
