Used as a dye plant for over 2000 years, woad leaves produce a natural blue dye. An attractive plant with blue-green leaves and yellow flowers in May. Biennial in zones 5 through 9. Sometimes grows as a short-lived perennial (3 years). Cannot ship to ID, MT, OR, UT, or WY.
