Wolf Creek Family Farm

Wolf Creek Family Farm is a small family farm in Peculiar, Cass County, Missouri. We offer a variety of vegetables and herbs as well as pastured pork, free range poultry and farm fresh eggs.

We try hard to use natural farming methods that preserve the integrity of the land and provide wholesome, chemical-free food for our customers. We hope our community will begin to buy more from local growers and we consider ourselves your Personal Family of Farmers!

Natural farming practices begin with the land. We use no chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. All fertilization comes from naturally composted materials from our farm. Pests are controlled by companion planting (planting crops strategically to reduce harmful insects and attract helpful insects that prey on pests) and by hand-picking them from plants. Weeding is done by hand - no chemicals sprayed here.

We rotate our crops annually to prevent the removal of vital nutrients, rotate livestock to give the ground and grasses time to rest, and plant cover crops to prevent loss of land due to errosion and overuse. At days end, we want to leave the land better than when we found it.

Our animals are fed natural grasses and grains and allowed plenty of room to roam. Our chickens - whether used for meat or eggs - are not caged; they roam across grass picking and scratching for their food as nature intended.

Find us at several different farmer's market locations throughout the season. Visit our website for what's fresh this week and where to find us!

I own 40 acres, west of PHMO, 6 miles north of Harrisonville and a few miles from Raymore. I do not use the acreage and would like to lease it to an organic farmer for either beef or row crops. Anyone interested?

My family moved to MO from out-of-state, & one of the first things on my list was to locate an organic farmer who participated in CSA.

We were pleased with NV Ranch services - their pick-up locations (many to pick from) fit our schedules, their prices are fair, the communication from them is what I was looking for, and after our first share, we were SUPER pleased.... [more]

I really enjoyed my free range, grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and thanksgiving turkey. The meat tastes so much better than store bought, corn fed animals.... [more]
