This is the first commercially woven Alpaca blanket produced in the United State. It is 100% Alpaca fiber and measures 72" x 65" without the fringe. The fringe adds additional 6" to the total length. There were only 338 blankets so be sure to purchase yours before they are all sold.
Pendleton made the blankets out of 100% Alpaca fiber from the USA. Very light weight blanket that is very warm. I have used mine so I can honestly say they are warm. Go Green and save the environment. This blanket will make that great graduation or wedding present and you won't have to worry of it being a duplicate gift. The Alpaca blanket will become a family treasure.
The blanket is a brown/black/white plaid. Each blanket is numbered with "Alpaca Blanket Project" label along with the Pendleton label.
We have a small herd of Huacaya Alpacas and harvest their fiber every spring. I choose the finest fleeces and have them spun into yarn at a mini mill in Minnesota. The flber is spun into sport, lace, or 3ply worseted 100% alpaca yarns. There is never any dyes or other wools added to the yarn. I have various colors and the yarn is sold in 300 yard balls with center pull. I have some finished alpaca products produced in Fall River Massachusetts. They only process American raised alpaca fiber. These products are not made only from my fiber as they produced in batches of about 500 pounds.
