WROCKLAGE RUN FARM
Located on 21 beautiful acres in the Southeastern corner of Warren County, Ohio (near Pleasant Plain) Wrocklage Run Farm is family owned and operated. The farm is powered by USA made solar panels and operates on permaculture principles and ethics (Earth care/people care). We use rain water from our ponds for drip irrigation for our hundreds of trees and do not use any type of chemical fertilizer, pesticide, herbicide, etc. on our gardens. We use local resources whenever possible. Wrocklage Run Farm is totally no-till with many raised beds for our produce.
We specialize in several different types of garlic, heirloom onions, shiitake mushrooms, greens & heirloom dry bean. We will also have herbs for sale, along with other produce in season, including asparagus & strawberries this Spring. Please contact us if you want to know when a specific item is available.
Classes are offered through the year at Wrockalge Run Farm. Come learn and enjoy the surroundings. Tours are available by request.
Our store is open on Saturday afternoons late May through October from 2:00 to 4:00.
Permaculture is a system designed to save, and may even generate, energy. It is low-input once established and can be self-sustaining. Permaculture uses connections found in Nature to increase efficiency. Practicing permaculture builds flexibility into our systems and enables us to cope with changing weather. It is farming for the future. Some of our produce is on Slow Foods Ark of Taste, especially our dry beans.
